I was quoted one rate by Nate, and sadly I could not supervise the move due to a medical emergency. So my family did and the movers doubled the rate. On top of that the move was right across the street, so why would It double so quickly. I had 25 boxes in the initial quote to be moved, half of them were moved. So now I'm looking at to asking family to help me move the rest. Also they go by family movers too. So beware, I really wish I could've booked the moving company I wanted the only reason I didn't is they were totally booked.
The process was seamless with them. Very efficient movers, took great care with items, and communicated effectively. Would highly recommend!
Best moving guy in the area. Recommended
Without a doubt, the best service I have received. The movers wrapped my furniture like it was new. All my furniture and boxes were delivered in perfect condition.
Our experience with this company was horrendous! I communicated with the agent that I was calling on behalf of my parents to book their move, because they were unavailable at a funeral. I asked the booking be placed in their names with their phone numbers, as I would not be there. Anyway, they arrived looking for me saying I had a ton of paperwork to sign. We were quoted a 4.5 hour move based on the amount of items we estimated we had. About 25% of the items were going to storage, which is across the street from the move in address. Other companies, in prior moves, had no problem with that because again, you are billed based on time. I was wrong because I didn't mention it because I didn't think it was a big deal to have stuff split between locations because of the proximity. Big mistake. The movers complained, called their dispatch, in turn the dispatch called me saying they will move to one location, because of time constraints and they had another move directly after, also that I had to be there in person to sign papers for the move. I was so pissed that I had to go there, when I clearly stated I could not upon booking, but I accepted that they could not go to two locations. The guys started the move, one of the men was drinking on the job and you can smell the liquor on his breathe. We suspected that they were pushing all the buttons on the freight elevator so it takes longer to go up/down (the times my father rode with them, this did not happen, but when inquired what was taking so long, they would reply "all the buttons were pushed" or "the elevator malfunctioned"). They took long breaks. The same drinking guys lied to my father about something my mom and said and when my father asked my mom, she denied having said that, and when he was confronted in front of both of them, he blamed someone else. They also took 1 hour to break down a queen bed and then did not put it back together properly upon completion of the move. It took them 4 hours to move out of the 2 bed/2 bath apartment, even with the help of my dad and brother who took down the other bed and dining room table to move the process along. They took advantage of my parents and the situation. Clearly they did not have another job to do. The job took almost 8 hours. A quote went from about $700 total to $1200. We ended up having to move the stuff from the apartment to the storage facility ourselves, not from the move-in, but from the move out, because they did not take everything, because they were taking too long to move.
Awful dishonest company...lost my very expensive dinnerware, settles for barely nothing due to manager pushing for settlement, sent too small of truck for items that were moved 3 months prior....(move was temporary and would be moving back in 3 month) manager/or office rep was advised all the same items that would be moved again. They put all the blame on me. Said I did not advise them of items to be moved...I moved into a furnished house prior coming to an apartment and even sold large appliances they initially moved, but again stated I gave them an inaccurate account of items to be moved. Damaged furniture, put a 5 hour move into a 9 hours nightmare. Claimed they gave me a hefty discount which is not true, I mean I had to pay more but had no choice, it was their fault. Workers stood around and did more smoking than moving. I had used them twice before, no issues, but this last move was horrible..total loss of personal items and damage to furniture well over $2500.00. They are nasty in all their responses to you or the BBB through Illinois after being reported. Try to use another company first...you will be glad you did. trust me. Found out a friend of mine used them the same day, same time frame, and had a carbon copy experience as i did. Quoted 5 hours to move 4 miles, then they were sent too small of a truck, move took 9 hours. damaged furniture, etc. this is a pattern and a scam in some incidents. Beware!!!!!!! please check other companies out!!
We hired Reebie for our Out of State move. We were given a few other quotes from competitors and Reebie stood above everyone else in their professionalism. The were able to store our belongings for 6 months while we have been working on finding the home of our dreams. To be fair, we had an issue during the process, they told us that it would be resolved and they made it right! Not only are they making it right but they are adding measures to make sure the issue will not happen to other clients. That is the sign of a great company! I have to say, I am very happy with how they have worked with us on this issue and made it right. My father always told me "It is not the mistakes we make, but the way we make them right that makes us who we are". And this holds true even in the crazy times of COVID. Thank you to all of the people at Reebie that have made this move possible for my family!
I had a terrible experience with Golan's. It damaged all my furniture (ALL PIECES), broke my TV and lost one of my bags. It worked as a Broker and sent a disqualified team to my house who used my credit card information for a scam. At the delivery, it did not finish to resemble my furniture. Additionally, it delivered my furniture with a huge delay!!!
This was the best move I have ever had. They were hard working, and efficient. They went out of their way to figure out how to move oversized pieces with zero complaints. They never took a break and were done in record time. On top of the work ethic they were very nice.
This company is a great service. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to move.
The best movers in Chicago. Quick and Effective. Big Juan, Anthony and Benson are awesome guys !! These three guys are super fun to work with.
I have worked with Dan Johnson in the NWVL global group for various years now. He's alwasy professinoal, well mannered, accommodating and useful for a chuckle or two. New World Van Lines has workplaces everywhere throughout the nation and is family claimed (the Marx family possesses it) and there are numerous relatives who are dynamic, attempting to guarantee that they give the best. While moving, New World Van Lines ought to dependably be viewed as, I esteem them to myself and my business at whatever point I require help.
These folks are aces. Everybody was well disposed and productive. They took great consideration of my furniture, and my 400lb Foosball table landed without a scratch. Everything was wrapped up in covers, and touched base without a scratch. Snappy correspondence and quick moving. Would run with this folks at whatever time.
Called postulations folks if as I required something moved rapidly! They turned up when they said they would, they made a special effort for a troublesome employment! Searching for smooth experts this is the organization!

- Open carriage. This is a more cost-effective option which keeps your car on a truck with a few other cars going the same direction.
- Closed carriage. With this method, your vehicle will be safe from the elements in a closed container.
- Which should I choose? Well, it depends on your budget and the value of your vehicle.
- Closed carriage will cost more, but the security of such a move is invaluable.
- An open carriage is cheaper, but your car is exposed to the outside world.
4 Questions You Need to be Answered When Choosing Where to Move
- “Why am I moving?” Is this a career change? Uniting with a partner? Bridging the gap between family? Starting fresh in a new place? To best figure out the WHERE, it’s important to understand the WHY.

Yet, if you’re part of a couple and/or have little ones, you need to consider how the move will affect them. Is the new city you’re considering kid-friendly? Will you spouse or partner have an easy time adjusting to this new place?
- “Can I afford it?” While we’d all love to live the high life in Manhattan or Beverly Hills, sometimes it’s not in the cards for us. Make sure that the city that’s calling your name is also possible with your income and your money in the bank.
