STAY AWAY!!! Prepare for a Bait and Switch. They gave my elderly mother an binding contract for $4800, and we proceed to pack all the boxes ourselves. A few days before the move someone called to go over everything room-by-room, then the price went up to $5800. When the movers arrived they said it would be additional $1200 in packing supplies, once her stuff was on the truck they told her that the new total was now $8400. They used an exorbitant amount of packing material for the furniture: First shrink wrap, then bubble wrap, then cardboard, then blankets, then more shrink wrap. They also charged additional cubic feet the packing supplies took up in the truck. The move was less then 60 miles, was this really necessary? The movers walked around and told my mother that Federal Regulations requires them to wrap everything up. They bullied and took advantage of her. Stay away from Charter Van Lines or your mother may be thier next victim.

I recently moved into a three bedroom house. My experience with moving in the past has always been the same. It usually takes an exceedingly long time, and is extremely overwhelming. Using Charter Van Lines alleviated the stress that usually accompanies a big move. Being a person who does not like to talk on the phone, I was pleased to find their phone representatives were friendly and helpful. The movers were not only capable, but also punctual, They arrived on time to both locations, and were able to move boxes and furntiure with ease. The transitions from one home to another were smooth. Their pricing was reasonable, especially considering the level of service I was given. I would recommend Charter Van Lines to any person looking to have a hassle-free moving experience.

During our last move, we promised ourselves not to go through that again. My boyfriend and I are both teachers and we have a ridiculous amount of books. It's always heavy and exhausting when we move. With Charter, it was different! I didn't have to worry about my belongings or towing anything myself. It was incredibly easy and satisfying to be able to trust professionals to do it. They called to confirm pick up and arrived on time. Nothing was damaged during the move and they weren't careless with our belongings when loading the truck. When we arrived at our new place, everything was ready to go and I was ready to unpack! I don't think I can ever go back to moving myself if we move again. Charter Van Lines was perfect!

The worst moving company I have ever encountered. They were contracted to pick up 6/20 or 6/21. NO SHOW on both days ... finally showing up on 6/22 after my daughters family had flown to Alabama. Then they came with a too small truck. The moving supervisor Breen, told us that if all the goods would not fit (and he doubted it would) they had the right to adjust the charges. EXTORTION! Of course they wanted more money and they promised to pick up the overage within 48 hours! Never happened!! Their "Binding Estimate" was very accurate (Provided by Charter Van Lines who we assume is their partner) so they had good & accurate information to prepare for our move. These people are CROOKS ... never us them!

This was my second time moving with Charter. I moved with them 8 years ago while transitioning out of the Military and I will use them again if I ever have to move again. I recommend them to any Military family. They offer great discounts for Vets.

STAY AWAY! THEY ARE NOT A MOVING COMPANY/VAN LINES. THEY ARE BROKERS! This is the type of company we all heard about on the news. I was dumb enough to believe them when I went to a moving quite website, they called me. Didn't realize (stupid) the site sold my number to 50 companies. Their quote for moving me from TX to MA was $4500. I gave them a $950 "deposit". A few days later, I found out they were a scam. Called to cancel, they refused to refund my money. I disputed with my bank. Bank ended up siding with them because of the contract even though they scammed me. This company doesn't own not 1 moving truck much less a van/18 wheeler. DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!

Great experience of going from one city to another. They were super-fast, careful and courteous, three-man crew. Once, in the rhythm, I would believe them, and I'm recommending these guys to you people.

I have utilized their service before and utilizing again due to the quality work they provide. Everything is to perfection. Boxing, loading, unloading, and un boxing. Everything they do, they take care of the stuff and made sure the safety of all my items. I enjoyed their service. Exceptional work guys!

I started a new job earlier this month but knew about my move for some time. Before I decided to use Charter Van Lines, I researched other companies but ended up being more satisfied with the quote from this company than the others. Very very pleased with them and I would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for movers. I am definitely coming back as a loyal customer for future moves.

They have a very great team of moving. They completed my move which was very complicated. Because my entrance door was very small had to move large table but they managed it quite nicely. Very professional team. Highly recommended.

I just want to say this company is great! They had kept me up-to-date and movers were kind and pleasant. They are fast and efficient and I would recommend them to anyone who needs help move.

Charter Van Lines were the 1st to contact me and ended up being the company that I used. I got 2 other quotes, 3 total. We had moved a one-bedroom apartment with about 26 heavy boxes about 7 miles and it took about 3 hours with two guys. We also had everything packed and ready to go. Really impressive as all off my belongings are safe.

We have been very pleased with our experience with Charter Van Lines. In fact, this is the 3rd time we have enlisted their services. The moving team on our latest move, was very pleasant, timely and extremely helpful. They did all the packing and not a single item was damaged. They were persistent in their efforts to disassemble some difficult pieces of furniture and reassembled and placed everything with great care. I would recommend this company.

Excellent service before and after movement. The crew that moved were professional, helpful, fast, and cautious with all stuff from outlets. This is my third step and I wouldn't choose anyone else.
