Real Moving Movers and Storage are the best around in moving properties. I bought new sets of electronics for my new home and wanted it moved there without damage. I called Real Moving Movers and they gave me a fair price since it was around town. They handled my flat screen, desktop and other appliances carefully and helped assemble them when we got home. I would sure patronize them once the need arises.

I've used BPFM twice and both times the move was absolutely excellent! Our family is career military plus a second career including worldwide corporate moving. That's 40 years of moving, and I can honestly say these folks do it as well or better than the big, major carriers in terms of customer service, friendly staff and hard work. Their pricing is excellent. They truly ARE "best price." They are also best attitude, best timing and best extra help. They are also best "show up a little early" and ready to work! If you are moving locally, here in the central Oklahoma area and you aren't using BPFM, you're doing it wrong. Give this great family a call and see for yourself what hard work and real, honest customer service still mean. I can't say enough good about them and I'm recommending them to several of my friends who are anticipating moves in the future. Thank you, Best Price Family Movers!

I would not recommend this moving company. Not only did they break my furniture but they pulled a bait and switch on their fees. Once they had all of my personal belongings, they raised their rates. A very bad experience indeed.

Did miss a couple of items left behind in a closet. Could have done a better job of covering floors - especially between elevator and apartment (which was required). Fair to OK in flooring coverage in apartment but could have been better coverage in carpeted rooms.

So much damage it's unbelievable. The movers were exhausted and said it was their 3rd move. My leather couch is shredded on both ends. My dining table and Ashley bedroom set has dents, paint from for jams, and scrapes all over it. My bed is badly torn. The movers said they didn't have the proper equipment to move it. Calling the store they just said to email the pics which I did and to contact a hotline to fix my things. The movers said my things were already damaged like that. Never use this company! I'm going to put reviews everywhere and contact BBB. I've used movers several times and NEVER have I had my things destroyed like this!

We have moved twice in the last two years, the first move we used 2 men and a truck and they were horrible. They moved is 3 days after our scheduled date and were careless with our things, oh and expensive. This last move we used Brockstar and they were amazing. There were prompt, fast and very careful of our belongings and with both the apartment we moved out of and the condo we moved into. They were fantastic and even helped us move a couple of thing around at the new place that would have been difficult or impossible for us to do on our own. Their price was way more reasonable and I highly recommend them. If you have to move, Call Brockstar Moving!

Had 3 people to assist with recent move and 1 seriously couldn't keep up. I'm double their age and had to assist with move to complete in a timely matter given 2 were not in shape to be doing this job. Itemed were dropped during move, which luckily were not breakable. Boxes marked as fragile had heavy boxes stacked on them. Didn't follow Covid-19 guidelines during move as website stated would be followed with none of the movers wearing masks. Had used previously in 2020 without complaints, but have told multiple people to steer clear when they have inquired about movers to use. To top it off, they damaged all my furniture that I paid to put in their storage when paying top dollar to have it protected with reimbursement that won't even buy me a new chair for the table and chairs they damaged. They deny that the items were damaged in their care when this was the first time they were moved since purchased. Horrible customer service, horrible business that will not stand by their services or agreements.

I as of late moved from Taunton, MA to Boca Raton, FL. I called around for neighborhood gauges and was so inspired with Jon Adams who went to my home to give the appraisal! He was straight forward and addressed every one of my inquiries. He could give me an exact appraisal! I disposed of a few things that I had initially moved toward moving and he even returned to change the assessment! Everything went easily amid the move and my merchandise were stacked and conveyed as guaranteed, on time!! I am extremely happy that I ran over this moving company and would profoundly prescribe it to everybody I know. What a delight!

The two men who helped me move were super pleasant and neighborly/positive. I like the way that they let you know the sum heretofore and it's secured - it doesn't conform in view of time or certain circumstances (stairs, sort of furniture, and so on). It was a throughout the day thing moving from OK to AR - they ensured ALL of my furniture was wrapped and secured. I felt the cost was extremely sensible taking into account me moving to another state and living on a third floor loft. They additionally took an ideal opportunity to ensure they were putting things where I needed them. The men were exceptionally obliging and simple to work with. I would exceptionally suggest this administration versus 2 men and a truck - my experience was 10x superior to when I utilized 2 men and a truck a year back. Just reason I'm giving 4 stars versus 5 is on account of they did overlook one thing at my home that ran with my lounge chair.

Moving Fast: HOW YOU CAN PACK EFFICIENTLY AND EFFECTIVELY

  • Get moving boxes and packing materials that will withstand the pressure of movingYou are going to want reinforced boxes that can hold a lot of weight. Also, you need heavy duty tape that won’t buckle under the weight of what it’s holding together. These items may seem pricey up front, but think of the money you’re saving by keeping your things in good shape. During the move, the last thing you want is for your stuff to crash into thousands of pieces!
  • If it’s fragile, make it known. It goes without saying that professional movers will treat every box with care. But, we all know that a box full of clothes can be handled much differently than a box full of dishes. Don’t be afraid to over-label your breakables; there’s no harm in too much care. It's important to be in communication with the movers moving your belongings.
  • Plan, plan! This is the key to moving successfully. If you wait until the last minute, you’ll be inundated with tasks that you didn’t know were on the docket. It’s never too early to get organized, so make sure to get an early start as soon as you find out you’re going to move.
  • If you’re working with less time than you’d like, save the trips down memory lane for when you get settled into your new place. This goes for people who have a lot of treasured items or heirlooms, as well as those who are moving on a tight schedule.
  • Don’t hold onto perishables or flammable items. Let's imagine that you have a lot of food in the fridge that won’t survive the move. Plan your meals so that you’re eating as much of it as possible before the transition. Also, you can't pack batteries, pesticides, or cleaning supplies in a moving truck. Be sure to use or get rid of these items.
  • Pack what you don’t need first. Most moves happen in the summertime, so pack up your winter clothes and get those out of the way first. Pack a suitcase like you’re going on vacation, but fill it with living essentials and a few outfits. This will be imperative during your moving process. It will allow you to pack your moving boxes with as much as possible without feeling like you need extra stuff.

5 Indisputable Reasons Why YOU SHOULD HAVE OK MOVERS TRANSPORT YOUR CAR

  • Selling it beforehand can be stressful. What if you can’t sell it in time, or have to accept a disappointingly low price for it?
  • You can keep your mileage low. If you have a company moving your car, you’re prolonging its life by not adding excess mileage.
  • You won’t break down on the journey. The thought of car trouble is enough to make anyone sweat. This stress is compounded when you think about being stranded in an unfamiliar place. Also, you must rely on a mechanic who may recognize your desperation and scam you.
  • Reduced risk of damage. When you’re taking your car out on the open road, you’re exposing it to many threats. These include potential wear and tear, the elements, and recklessness of other drivers.
  • It’s cheaper than you think. With two different transport options as a standard, moving companies offer rates to fit every budget.

Logistics is generally the ability to organize and put in place many complex operations at a single time. It is the management of the flow of things to meet the needs of customers or corporations. Resources managed in logistics includes tangible items such as food, materials, animals, equipment, etc. Not to mention the items that are not tangible such as time and information. This means that the movement of physical items, such as in the moving industry, involves a clear understanding of solid workflow. Such logistics can involve the handling of necessary materials, producing, packaging, inventory, transportation, warehousing, and often security.

In many countries, driving a truck requires a special driving license. The requirements and limitations vary with each different jurisdiction.

The Motor Carrier Act, passed by Congress in 1935, replace the code of competition. The authorization the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) place was to regulate the trucking industry. Since then the ICC has been long abolished, however, it did quite a lot during its time. Based on the recommendations given by the ICC, Congress enacted the first hours of services regulation in 1938. This limited driving hours of truck and bus drivers. In 1941, the ICC reported that inconsistent weight limitation imposed by the states cause problems to effective interstate truck commerce.

A trailer is not very difficult to categorize. In general, it is an unpowered vehicle towed by a powered vehicle. Trailers are most commonly used for the transport of goods and materials. Although some do enjoy recreational usage of trailers as well.

In 1999, The Simpsons episode Maximum Homerdrive aired. It featured Homer and Bart making a delivery for a truck driver named Red after he unexpectedly dies of 'food poisoning'.

In the 20th century, the 1940 film "They Drive by Night" co-starred Humphrey Bogart. He plays an independent driver struggling to become financially stable and economically independent. This is all set during the times of the Great Depression. Yet another film was released in 1941, called "The Gang's All Here". It is a story of a trucking company that's been targeted by saboteurs.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 40 million United States citizens have moved annually over the last decade. Of those people who have moved in the United States, 84.5% of them have moved within their own state, 12.5% have moved to another state, and 2.3% have moved to another country.

In 1978 Sylvester Stallone starred in the film "F.I.S.T.". The story is loosely based on the 'Teamsters Union'. This union is a labor union which includes truck drivers as well as its then president, Jimmy Hoffa.

The number one hit on the Billboard chart in 1976 was quite controversial for the trucking industry. "Convoy," is a song about a group of reckless truck drivers bent on evading laws such as toll booths and speed traps. The song went on to inspire the film "Convoy", featuring defiant Kris Kristofferson screaming "piss on your law!" After the film's release, thousands of independent truck drivers went on strike. The participated in violent protests during the 1979 energy crisis. However, similar strikes had occurred during the 1973 energy crisis.

All cars must pass some sort of emission check, such as a smog check to ensure safety. Similarly, trucks are subject to noise emission requirement, which is emanating from the U.S. Noise Control Act. This was intended to protect the public from noise health side effects. The loud noise is due to the way trucks contribute disproportionately to roadway noise. This is primarily due to the elevated stacks and intense tire and aerodynamic noise characteristics.

The United States' Interstate Highway System is full of bypasses and loops with the designation of a three-digit number. Usually beginning with an even digit, it is important to note that this pattern is highly inconsistent. For example, in Des Moines, Iowa the genuine bypass is the main route. More specifically, it is Interstate 35 and Interstate 80, with the loop into downtown Des Moines being Interstate 235. As it is illustrated in this example, they do not always consistently begin with an even number. However, the 'correct' designation is exemplified in Omaha, Nebraska. In Omaha, Interstate 480 traverses the downtown area, which is bypassed by Interstate 80, Interstate 680, and Interstate 95. Interstate 95 then in turn goes through Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Furthermore, Interstate 295 is the bypass around Philadelphia, which leads into New Jersey. Although this can all be rather confusing, it is most important to understand the Interstate Highway System and the role bypasses play.

As of January 1, 2000, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) was established as its own separate administration within the U.S. Department of Transportation. This came about under the "Motor Carrier Safety Improvement Act of 1999". The FMCSA is based in Washington, D.C., employing more than 1,000 people throughout all 50 States, including in the District of Columbia. Their staff dedicates themselves to the improvement of safety among commercial motor vehicles (CMV) and to saving lives.

Truckload shipping is the movement of large amounts of cargo. In general, they move amounts necessary to fill an entire semi-trailer or inter-modal container. A truckload carrier is a trucking company that generally contracts an entire trailer-load to a single customer. This is quite the opposite of a Less than Truckload (LTL) freight services. Less than Truckload shipping services generally mix freight from several customers in each trailer. An advantage Full Truckload shipping carriers have over Less than Truckload carrier services is that the freight isn't handled during the trip. Yet, in an LTL shipment, goods will generally be transported on several different trailers.

Compliance, Safety, and Accountability (CSA) are fundamental to the FMCSA's compliance program. The purpose of the CSA program is to oversee and focus on motor carriers' safety performance. To enforce such safety regulations, the CSA conducts roadside inspections and crash investigations. The program issues violations when instances of noncompliance with CSA safety regulations are exposed.   Unfortunately, the CSA's number of safety investigation teams and state law enforcement partners are rather small in comparison to the millions of CMV companies and commercial driver license (CDL) holders. A key factor in the CSA program is known as the Safety Measurement System (SMS). This system relies on data analysis to identify unsafe companies to arrange them for safety interventions. SMS is incredibly helpful to CSA in finding and holding companies accountable for safety performance.

The main purpose of the HOS regulation is to prevent accidents due to driver fatigue. To do this, the number of driving hours per day, as well as the number of driving hours per week, have been limited. Another measure to prevent fatigue is to keep drivers on a 21 to 24-hour schedule in order to maintain a natural sleep/wake cycle. Drivers must take a daily minimum period of rest and are allowed longer "weekend" rest periods. This is in hopes to combat cumulative fatigue effects that accrue on a weekly basis.

In 1991 the film "Thelma & Louise" premiered, rapidly becoming a well known movie. Throughout the movie, a dirty and abrasive truck driver harasses the two women during chance encounters. Author Michael Dunne describes this minor character as "fat and ignorant" and "a lustful fool blinded by a delusion of male superiority". Thelma and Louise exact their revenge by feigning interest in him and then blowing up his tanker truck full of gas.

The year of 1977 marked the release of the infamous Smokey and the Bandit. It went on to be the third highest grossing film that year, following tough competitors like Star Wars and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Burt Reynolds plays the protagonist, or "The Bandit", who escorts "The Snowman" in order to deliver bootleg beer. Reynolds once stated he envisioned trucking as a "hedonistic joyride entirely devoid from economic reality"   Another action film in 1977 also focused on truck drivers, as was the trend it seems. Breaker! Breaker! starring infamous Chuck Norris also focused on truck drivers. They were also displaying movie posters with the catch phrase "... he's got a CB radio and a hundred friends who just might get mad!"

Smoke and the Bandit was released in 1977, becoming the third-highest grossing movie. Following only behind Star Wars Episode IV and Close Encounter of the Third Kind, all three movies making an impact on popular culture. Conveniently, during that same year, CB Bears debuted as well. The Saturday morning cartoon features mystery-solving bears who communicate by CB radio. As the 1970's decade began to end and the 80's broke through, the trucking phenomenon had wade. With the rise of cellular phone technology, the CB radio was no longer popular with passenger vehicles, but, truck drivers still use it today.

In today's society, there are rules and regulations everywhere you go, the same goes for commercial vehicles. The federal government has strict regulations that must be met, such as how many hours a driver may be on the clock. For example, 11 hours driving /14 hours on-duty followed by 10 hours off, with a max of 70 hours/8 days or 60 hours/7 days. They can also set rules deciding how much rest and sleep time is required, however, these are only a couple of regulations set. Any violations are often subject to harsh penalties. In some cases, there are instruments to track each driver's hours, which are becoming more necessary.
