Raleigh, North Carolina, is one of the largest cities of North Carolina. There are a lot of things that make the city great, and that keep people moving here. It has repeatedly been voted the best place to live in America. Residents say that cheap living, delicious food, and a plethora of entertainment gives them plenty of reason to live where the live. Speaking of food, the Carolina dog is one of Raleigh’s most cherished food items. It is a hot dog topped with chili, mustard, onions, and cole slaw. To wash all of that down, you can sip on some of North Carolina’s iced tea. But be warned, it is very sweet. Every resident in Raleigh is very particular when it comes to barbecue. While most people enjoy pork, the debate rises over how the meat is cooked. There is the Eastern style and the Lexington style. The latter style ha vinegar, pepper, ketchup, and other spices, and the Eastern style has a pepper and vinegar base. While each Raleigh resident has a preference deep down, everyone claims that all they care about is the fact that they can eat such delicious food.
The North Carolina State University sports teams keep residents of Raleigh cheering together. The hometown heroes always draw a loyal crowd. While watching these sports, residents love to sit back with a nice cold glass of beer. To outsiders, North Carolina seems to offer no more than moonshine. However, Raleigh has plenty of different craft beers to choose from. There are a handful of local breweries that will never fail to fill your glass. For people who don’t drink alcohol, they can sit back an enjoy a bottle of Cheerwine. This is an extremely carbonated cherry flavored soda, and it has become a key part of Raleigh's food identity. To make it even better, it isn't for sale in any other place except Raleigh. Citizens of Raleigh are very driven. Almost all of the working age population is employed.
The job market is always open, and the cost of owning and operating a business is low. People in Raleigh have no problem with keeping fit and staying active. The city is home to a thirty mile long path that spans from town to town. You can choose to walk or bike down the path. If you want to stay in with the family, Raleigh has you covered. It is a very family-friendly city. There is a fantastic school system, and the city is full of parks. Such close proximity to the greatest attractions makes weekend vacations more than possible. Citizens of Raleigh have no problem being nice. In fact, the city has often been called the best place to get indulge in southern hospitality. You can jump in to the sparkling waters of Lake Johnson, where the water is more than good for swimming. You can also fish or go boating. You’ll almost forget that you aren’t very close to the ocean, although its still pretty close. If you want to take a look at some art, then CAM has got you covered.

Raleigh is also the home of the NC symphony, where classier residents can indulge in some performing arts. Any day that there is sunshine, the people of Raleigh get outside. Most people have made a habit of visiting Pullen Park. This park features bike trails, paddle boats, campgrounds, and lakes. For a night indoors, many people choose to drop by the Pour House and enjoy live music. If you really want to lounge around, take comfort in the fact that Raleigh is one of the most connected cities in America, featuring hundreds of public access wifi hotspots.
The NC Museum of Science also provides residents with a proper dose of entertainment. With more than a million visitors every year, the museum has historical exhibits from the areas surrounding Raleigh, including dino skeletons and fossils. With a bustling economy and growing infrastructure, as well as many cool and unique attractions, there is no way living in Raleigh could ever have a bad side.
