I hired Suburban Solutions to do my move two years ago in 2016, from a one bedroom apartment, into one bedroom, of a group home. The majority of my belongings for that move, were moved into a storage unit, except the items needed for my one bedroom. Because of this move, all of my belongings were in their online filing system. Fast forward to July 2018, and because I was happy with their customer service, as well as the service that I received previously, I hired Suburban Solutions again, to assist with my move from the exact same one bedroom in a group house that they helped me move into in July 2016, into a new one bedroom apartment. In arranging my move, I was assured that they have my belongings in their system from my move two years ago, and that they can handle my move. I am quoted a 'Low End Moving Estimate' of $525, and a 'High End Moving Estimate' of $650. This was the lowest quote that I received, in comparison to other companies I contacted, which assisted in my decision to hire them again. The move is arranged to pick up my belongings at my storage unit on Friday, July 27th, store them in their truck over night, then complete the move out of my one bedroom in the group home, the following day on the 28th. From there, the move would continue to drop off everything at my new one bedroom apartment. The movers that were supplied to me, were VERY rude. For instance, one mover (His name is Eddie) raised his voice, and yelled at my mother. During another point in time, I caught that same mover (Eddie), going through my belongings in a drawer, as he was emptying it out into a box WITHOUT my permission. Also, once I declined their insurance (My Renter's Insurance covered a move), Eddie intentionally was tossing my dresser drawers around as he wrapped them, scratching my dresser. When confronted, he responded that this was OK, because I denied his insurance coverage. When this disaster of a move was finally over, the mover told us that we owed $780, despite the fact that our 'High End Moving Estimate' was $650, a whopping 20%, $130 more than my original quote. I contacted Suburban Solutions (Brian, the Manager) about this issue, and I was told that they'd "take care of it" because they "pride themselves on Customer Service", and to be on the lookout for a mailing to the address on the check. After going a week without receiving anything, I contacted them again. Again, they said that something would be sent. Several days later, I received a scratched out, one sentence written apology from Eddie, without any kind of reimbursement. Not finding this to be sufficient, I again reached out via email. I was called and was again apologized to, given the same speech about how important Customer Service was to them and was told that they'd make this up to me, and that something would again be sent. This phone call was the last I heard from Suburban Solutions.
