Moving with Mollerup Van and Storage Company

Mollerup Van & Storage was founded in 1891 by Andrew Mollerup, a Danish immigrant. He started the business with a one-horse drawn wagon/moving van. Prior to the wide spread use of telephones in Salt Lake City, Utah, the local movers would line up along what is now West Temple Street in downtown Salt Lake City. Prospective customers would select the mover of their choice based upon the appearance of the mover and his horse and wagon. The going rate at the time was $8.00 per day.
