We had a horrible experience! Billing was not transparent and cards were charged before we were given an invoice. Communication within the company was awful - one group didn't seem to know what someone from another department told us. WE HAVE 5 BOXES MISSING and had one box delivered that doesn't belong to us - and is still here after 3 weeks of us contacting Black Tie to come get it. The trucks looked like our stuff was tossed in without care and several of the crew threw things around without caution. We had an antique writing desk that was carefully covered, but then unwrapped outside in the rain when the truck was unloaded - and my washer and dryer were left sitting in the driveway during the rain until I asked them to please bring them in. We have had to fight each bill about charges that were assigned without our knowledge and we are still dealing (3 weeks later) with trying to get some response about our missing items. We should have gone with a major company that would be more careful with our stuff!!

Goodness Heck Yes. Goodness the story is long, dreary, tiresome.... Gracious the first corporate procured movers out of Virginia was a NIGHTMARE!!! Finally, Allied lost nearly $3,000 of items in our move, including our wedding silver, an unused designer purse and attachments for our Dyson vacuum (not to mention things we likely haven't noticed). When I submitted a claim, I was told that since we signed for our items, the claim was invalid (as if one could actually know what was in every box the day they were dropped off). We paid $14k for the pleasure of this terrible experience. AVOID ALLIED AT ALL COSTS.
