I don't usually write reviews, but I feel like I need to warn any potential future victims of this company. Beware, this is company is plain horrible! On the day of delivery, the driver sat for hours at my new home because no movers showed up for the job on the Friday before the 4th of July, which fell on a Tuesday. He then hired homeless non-english speakers on the street to move our things into the house. These people damaged the floors, walls, and every single piece of furniture we own. Our bookcase remains in pieces on both floors of the house. They unpacked nothing and expected us to move our own boxes to the second floor. Our boxes were left in such disarray with absolutely no organization in our home that on Friday night we could not close our front door and the door to the garage. The movers were dirty and could not be directed because they did not speak English. Our mover needed us to drive him to the ATM in order to obtain cash to pay the workers and he needed us to drive him to his hotel because the hotel would not allow him to park the delivery truck in their lot. It has taken me and my husband working non-stop from Friday evening until today, the 4th of July, to get our house to somewhat liveable. We still have not been able to cook a meal in our kitchen over the past 4 days. After great difficulty, we were able to contact Weathers yesterday and they promised to send someone today (4 days after the "delivery") to help remove the boxes and put together furniture (they had left most of our furniture, that they disassembled, unassembled and the parts and screws are in disarray). That person has not shown up. We have had to leave our infant twins with their grandparents 3 hrs away this entire time. This moving company has done nothing to help with this! How am I or my husband even expected to work under these conditions. I am going to take this as far up as I possibly can and involved everyone I possibly can to prevent such rampant and horrific abuse of taxpayer dollars. I am a two-time veteran and I should not have to deal with this on the 4th of July! Shame on them!

Absolutely zero integrity. Initial weight ticket at 17,700lbs. Reweigh showed 14,100lbs. Company refuses to update the shipment weight and is fraudulently charging the government for the excess weight. Shipment was delivered wet and moldy. No response to claim that included pictures and receipts. All phone calls result in redirection to a voicemail that is full, or an empty desk. Use at your own risk.

  • A moving company, removalist, or van line are all companies that help people as well as other businesses to move their goods from one place to another. With many inclusive services for relocation like packing, loading, moving, unloading, unpacking and arranging of items can all be taken care of for you. Some services may include cleaning the place and have warehousing facilities.
  • According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 40 million United States citizens have moved annually over the last decade. Of those people who have moved in the United States, 84.5% of them have moved within their own state, 12.5% have moved to another state, and 2.3% have moved to another country.
  • In the United States and Canada, the cost for long-distance moves is generally determined by a few factors. The first is the weight of the items to be moved and the distance it will go. Cost is also based on how quickly the items are to be moved, as well as the time of the year or month which the move occurs. In the United Kingdom and Australia, it's quite different. They base price on the volume of the items as opposed to their weight. Keep in mind some movers may offer flat rate pricing.
  • Many people are familiar with this type of moving, using truck rental services, or borrowing similar hardware, is known as DIY moving. Whoever is renting a truck or trailer large enough to carry their household goods may obtain moving equipment if necessary. Equipment may be items such as dollies, furniture pads, and cargo belts to protect furniture and to ease the moving process.
  • As most people have experienced, moving does involve having the appropriate materials. Some materials you might find at home or may be more resourceful to save money while others may choose to pay for everything. Either way materials such as boxes, paper, tape, and bubble wrap with which to pack box-able and/or protect fragile household goods. It is also used to consolidate the carrying and stacking on moving day. Self-service moving companies offer another viable option. It involves the person moving buying a space on one or more trailers or shipping containers. These containers are then professionally driven to the new location.
  • There many reasons for moving, each one with a unique and specific reason as to why. Relocation services, employee relocation, or workforce mobility can create a range of processes. This process of transferring employees, their families, and/or entire departments of a business to a new location can be difficult. Like some types of employee benefits, these matters are dealt with by human resources specialists within a corporation.
