Moving with Radius Moving & Storage
A short message from Michelle the owner. I have working with many moving companies and carriers and in these past years my experience has taught me a lot about moving people and their homes. No body wants to get ripped off or promised the world with empty promises at the end of the day. People have different requirements and every move situation is different. We understand moving is tuff and you want to stick to a budget and it can be hard to plan and be ready. We at Radius Moving try to make it clear to everyone so that everyone has a clear understanding of there needs on their move. You the customer in control of entire move and we are here to help. We do our best to have the least amount of surprised as possible so that everything stays calm and the move goes smooth as possible. We care.
They were prompt, courteous and hardworking. They did not damage anything or make a single mark on our new paint! AMAZING!!!! We would highly recommend and will use them in the future!!!
The worst company that I've ever dealt with. Will not communicate with you, take responsibility for incredibly late or rude moving personnel, or missing/damaged items. You will never speak to your "personal moving coordinator" again after they have a deposit for the move, just to the two other people (if you stay on hold long enough) who seem to work in the office but do not have any information on the whereabouts of your items. I had to call daily for almost three weeks to try to get any information as to when my stuff would arrive (usually having to give up because I'd be put on hold for so long or sent straight to voicemail), and then almost missed the truck because no one gave me a time frame for delivery, they simply showed up (and then would have charged me another 500 dollars to reschedule the delivery). I am still missing items but at this point don't want to deal with them any more because the moving experience was so horrendous.
We were very pleased with the service we received from Radius Moving & Storage. They arrived on time, and performed the work quickly and efficiently, and within the time frame they had estimated. They were professional and very careful with our belongings and our home. We would recommend them highly.
Thank you so very much for the excellent service you provided with our move last Thursday. The efficient and excellent service Radius Moving & Storage provided to us was so refreshing. Thanks for a job well done. You definitely exceeded the expectation! We are very grateful customers.
Long overdue, but I wanted to let you know what a great job your company did in moving us to Florida. Not one thing was broken or damaged. We had issues with the Title Company and builder on the day of settlement and had to make changes, and your guys were wonderful about making the changes. I know we inconvenienced the driver, too, but he was patient! Thanks so much for packing my precious china, too. It arrived in perfect condition.
I wish all the companies I dealt with had the same work ethic and attention to detail.
The whole move went really well. We moved from a 2 story townhouse. The movers used a lot of care when moving us and the price was very fair. In addition the price we were quoted was exactly the amount we were charged. We highly recommend Radius Moving & Storage.
They arrived at discussed time and had the best work ethics and disposition I have ever seen. They worked non stop and even cleaned up after them selves! No bad language or complains about heavy stuff. Always addressed me with the utmost respect. Definitely will recommend them and use them in any future moves!!!
The guys were organized, very careful and took their time to make sure everything was done properly. I couldn't be happier and highly recommend them.
In 1999, The Simpsons episode Maximum Homerdrive aired. It featured Homer and Bart making a delivery for a truck driver named Red after he unexpectedly dies of 'food poisoning'.
Trucks of the era mostly used two-cylinder engines and had a carrying capacity of 1,500 to 2,000 kilograms (3,300 to 4,400 lb). In 1904, 700 heavy trucks were built in the United States, 1000 in 1907, 6000 in 1910, and 25000 in 1914. A Benz truck modified by Netphener company (1895)
In the United States, a commercial driver's license is required to drive any type of commercial vehicle weighing 26,001 lb (11,794 kg) or more. In 2006 the US trucking industry employed 1.8 million drivers of heavy trucks.
A relatable reality t.v. show to the industry is the show Ice Road Truckers, which premiered season 3 on the History Channel in 2009. The show documents the lives of truck drivers working the scary Dalton Highway in Alaska. Following drivers as they compete to see which one of them can haul the most loads before the end of the season. It'll grab you with its mechanical problems that so many have experienced and as you watch them avoid the pitfalls of dangerous and icy roads!
The basics of all trucks are not difficult, as they share common construction. They are generally made of chassis, a cab, an area for placing cargo or equipment, axles, suspension, road wheels, and engine and a drive train. Pneumatic, hydraulic, water, and electrical systems may also be present. Many also tow one or more trailers or semi-trailers, which also vary inmultipleways but are similar as well.
