High priority movers is possibly the most professional moving company out there. Sure, they are not the cheapest! But what I got for the money I spent was pretty damn amazing. They showed up right on time, which is quite unlike any other movers I have hired. They efficiently worked for 3 hours, packed up everything and loaded the van. The delivery was made on schedule as well. I checked and found all my things without any damages. Cheap companies would ruin your furniture beyond any repair. But hiring this company really assured the safety of my valuables.

I hired High priority movers to move my stuff upon a recommendation I got from some friends. Their movers were very well trained from what I saw. The hourly rates for movers are always really high. So, essentially, you want movers who work effectively within a short time. The three men sent from this company did exactly that. They were thorough, creative and very skilled. But they were also very quick, which saved me a lot of money. Another problem with moving companies is the hidden costs. I was expecting some extra charges to be added in the final bill. But surprisingly, the final bill was exactly the amount we agreed on beforehand. If you want to save some money while getting really efficient services, just hire these guys and stay assured they will take good care of you.

I would just like to comment that High priority movers was great to deal with; the crew that packed up the house was really professional and great guys. Having moved a few times long distance, I would say they would stack up against any top company that I have seen around so far. They can give any mover a run for their money when it comes to packing and loading. Surely these guys have quality staff working for them.

We had the best experience with High Priority Movers were simply outstanding - professional, fast moving and self reliant. The company itself deserves applause. They were the only company to send a rep to give us an estimate. Would use again and recommend 100 times over!

High Priority Movers made a great difference, my friend Betty introduced High Priority Movers to me, as I need to move my things from my former apartment to a new one in Las Vegas, irrespective of the distance they did a great job. Handled by thing with great care, good timing. Simply put they offered a job greater than their charges. Kudos to them, I recommend them to anyone and I stand by my recommendation.

Moving my goods from the shipping to my warehouse has always been handled by High Priority Movers for the past five years and until date have had no reason to consider another moving company. They have perfect customer relations, wonderful in handling my goods. I have never had broken items as a result of their handling my things while moving them across to the warehouse. Keep up the good job. The sky is your limit.

Receiving nation attention during the 1960's and 70's, songs and movies about truck driving were major hits. Finding solidarity, truck drivers participated in widespread strikes. Truck drivers from all over opposed the rising cost of fuel. Not to mention this is during the energy crises of 1873 and 1979. In 1980 the Motor Carrier Act drastically deregulated the trucking industry. Since then trucking has come to dominate the freight industry in the latter part of the 20th century. This coincided with what are now known as 'big-box' stores such as Target or Wal-Mart.
Invented in 1890, the diesel engine was not an invention that became well known in popular culture. It was not until the 1930's for the United States to express further interest for diesel engines to be accepted. Gasoline engines were still in use on heavy trucks in the 1970's, while in Europe they had been entirely replaced two decades earlier.
In 1978 Sylvester Stallone starred in the film "F.I.S.T.". The story is loosely based on the 'Teamsters Union'. This union is a labor union which includes truck drivers as well as its then president, Jimmy Hoffa.
The basics of all trucks are not difficult, as they share common construction. They are generally made of chassis, a cab, an area for placing cargo or equipment, axles, suspension, road wheels, and engine and a drive train. Pneumatic, hydraulic, water, and electrical systems may also be present. Many also tow one or more trailers or semi-trailers, which also vary in multiple ways but are similar as well.
The 1950's were quite different than the years to come. They were more likely to be considered "Knights of the Road", if you will, for helping stranded travelers. In these times truck drivers were envied and were viewed as an opposition to the book "The Organization Man". Bestseller in 1956, author William H. Whyte's novel describes "the man in the gray flannel suit", who sat in an office every day. He's describing a typical office style job that is very structured with managers watching over everyone. Truck drivers represented the opposite of all these concepts. Popular trucking songs glorified the life of drivers as independent "wanderers". Yet, there were attempts to bring back the factory style efficiency, such as using tachnographs. Although most attempts resulted in little success. Drivers routinely sabotaged and discovered new ways to falsify the machine's records.
Unfortunately for the trucking industry, their image began to crumble during the latter part of the 20th century. As a result, their reputation suffered. More recently truckers have been portrayed as chauvinists or even worse, serial killers. The portrayals of semi-trailer trucks have focused on stories of the trucks becoming self-aware. Generally, this is with some extraterrestrial help.
