DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVING NEEDS!!! After looking at several companies and getting quotes from just as many for our move from California to the East Coast, we decided on In & Out Moving & Storage. Horrible Horrible decision on our part, even after researching the company. We have been living a nightmare ever since. Here is the rundown of our situation and what happened. We contact I&O on the 5th to receive a quote. The quote is for $2000 pending the confirmation of a few extra boxes and a few other household items. Janet, one of the reps there asks me when would we like our furniture delivered to our new address. I proceed to tell her ASAP. Why ASAP? Because we do not want to be in our new home without any of our belongs, clothes, baby items, food, furniture, hygiene items, etc for more than 2 or 3 days. I tell Janet again, make sure that we receive our items ASAP just to confirm. She tells me yet again, "Yes, we will have the items delivered within 7 days of us picking up the items." Ok, great. She also tells me to make sure our neighbors cars are not blocking the road because of the 18 wheeler truck that will be there to pick up our furniture and to make the trip to the East Coast for delivery. I go out of my way to make sure our neighbors vehicles are not in the way. Mission Accomplished. Fast forward to the day that they arrive to pick up our furniture on the 11th. The movers show up in a rented uHaul truck. So im confused. Why did you say that YOUR 18 wheeler truck will be picking up our furniture? They completely lied to me about that. So, the movers are there to pick our items up. 3 guys. None of them are wearing branded clothing, so I have no clue who these guys are until they show me the paperwork. I'm not letting random guys in my home, handling my personal items and you are arriving in the incorrect vehicle AND not in a professional manner. Ok, so we look at the paperwork and go over the inventory list. The quote with the little extra inventory added triples the original quote. So now we are looking at $7800 in moving fees, up from $2000. So again, I'm really confused and angry. I again call Janet on the phone to let her know my frustration. We settle on a new amount, but it is still well over triple the original quote. I am due to leave for the East Coast that day, so I have no more time to call another moving company to pick up our items. So again, I'm both frustrated with the new amount and the fact that these guys are completely unprofessional. As the movers are taking our items from the house to the truck, I see and witness multiple on multiple times, them dropping the boxes, furniture. I call them out on it 3 separate times. One of the movers is a younger guy who Clearly is not experienced in moving as he is much slower than the older guys. I'm in an out of the home taking care of a few things and I see one of the movers adjust the HVAC temperature. Why are you adjusting the temperature? This is NOT your home. So ag
