This company is a scam! Please do your research before booking with this company. I made the mistake of booking my move from San Diego to Texas with this company. I spoke to Barbara who quoted me a low rate and made promises such as the time frame of 7-10 days delivery and also that this company used their own trucks. Everything so far has been a lie and a disaster. Booking with this company was the biggest mistake of my life. My pick up date was scheduled for 10/10/17, upon picking up my items, 3 men arrived in a uhaul truck and asked for $275.00 more as some of the items in my storage was not packed properly, per me and Barbara's conversation she assured me they had all the necessary packing materials for loading properly on truck. Fast forward I called on the 10/17/17 to check the status of my belongings and found out that my delivery date was pushed back another week. Keep in my mind I let Barbara know at the time of booking I was 38 weeks pregnant and wanted to make sure my delivery would be here before I deliver. I've spoken with Barbara several times and she is now saying they legally have 21 days to deliver my stuff. Also, I have been speaking with the driver Jose who goes by Jay. As of last week he said his truck broke down in El Paso and the part would not be in until This Monday. Well Monday was yesterday now he is saying the part came in but that did not fix the truck and he has no idea when he will be able to deliver my stuff. This is a total joke and unacceptable. The lack of customer service or lack of concern this company has for how much of a inconvenience they cause to their customers is sad. I wish I would have done better research. Potential customers need to be made aware and understand how this company operates. This is not right how they are doing me and the sad part is not once have they called me to provide a status update, I've had to call to find out about the numerous delays which all sound like lies.I will provide another update when and if I ever get my stuff.

part 2 And the property manager was not given a list of items being received? There was no one on site to verify that the delivery was complete. In other words, this delivery was a pre-meditated theft. ORDER OF EVENTS I received an email from New Frontier out of nowhere. I was having a crisis with the first company that I hired, EZ Moving Van Lines. Fortunately, I already received a refund for that mistake. That is another story. But somehow, New Frontier had a form email ready to go, asking me if my first choice of movers was going terrible, now is the time to sign up with them, before it is too late. I thought it odd that another company already knew about the impending doom. I looked up their BBB rating, and reviews, and seemed to be in order. They quoted me a price based upon the number of items, and estimated size. I was told later that they would be weighed, and that the price would be adjusted to reflect the weight. I had maybe 50 small boxes, filled with books, paperwork and knick knacks, but they were counted as full size. I used priority mail boxes, because I was advised not to pack all books in one large box, making it too heavy to load and move. The movers arrived 5 hours late. I had fallen asleep waiting, and they almost left without contacting me. Somehow I woke up right before they pulled off. I told them that I wanted the large items loaded first, and that if there was room, some of the small boxes would go. I left the room to finish packing. When I returned, they had put all of the small boxes into large wardrobe boxes: I was charged for each of the 50 boxes, then charged again for the wardrobe boxes.the majority of my large items are still in my house! I told them to take the wardrobe boxes off of the truck and load the large items. I told them that I could move the small boxes myself. THEY REFUSED!! STATING THAT IN ADDITION TO THE $1600 THEY WERE CHARGING ME OVER THE QUOTED ESTIMATE, THEY WOULD HAVE TO CHARGE AND ADDITIONAL $1600 TO TAKE EVERYTHING OFF THE TRUCK TO RETRIEVE THE WARDROBE BOXES, THEN PUT EVERYTHING BACK. They also told me NOT to call the 24 hour customer service because the young lady was probably asleep and we would be waking her up again. By this time, it was like 4 am, and it was very cold. I was supposed to be leaving in a few hours on a solo drive to Chicago, in the snow. The new tenants were expecting EVERYTHING out of there in 4 hours. MOST of my belongings are still in California!!! I did not have the additional $1600, they would let me pay that later. Nor did I have the additional additional $1600. So, I waved good bye to my 50 boxes of books, photographs, crystals, jewelry, memorabilia, important paperwork like deeds, lawsuits claims, etc. Things that were not supposed to be on that truck. stay tuned for part 3

Change a few of the dates and names- but my review is almost exactly the same nightmare as Melody's! We initially contracted for our move from Bakersfield, Ca to Eugene, Ore with Independence Van Lines who subcontracted with D United Logistics without informing us. One the day scheduled for the move, and unmarked van shows up at the house. I didn't even realize the movers weren't with Independence at first. Time was short and we were scheduled to leave for Oregon, so we went forward with the movers- Who immediately told us they wouldn't be able to deliver on the date we were told by Independence. I was given a number to call for a delivery date and time. I called Barbara Kay and was told delivery would be the following week, then I was told the week following that, then I was told it would be the next day, I was told the furniture was in Oregon. I called at least every other day (the day after the furniture didn't show up as promised) I called Barbara Kay and I called Jordan, Tom, and Ray and anyone else I could get though to at Independence Van lines as they were the original contractors. Independence was totally unhelpful to the point of rudeness. I was finally told that there was a 21 business day time span legally allotted for delivery- on day 21, I submitted complaints to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Admin and the Better Business Bureau. On day 30, I was finally able to get through to Independence Van lines again, who called D United Logistics who finally gave me the name and number of the driver- who was still in California- it appears the whole time Barbara Kay was telling me the furniture was in Oregon, it never left California!!! The furniture arrived in a Budget Rent A Truck! I don't believe that this company even owns a truck other than the disreputable truck that showed up at our house. Several items of furniture were damaged and we later realized that boxes of goods were missing, this company should not even be in business. They are liars, scammers and cheats!

First of all, I want to thank Barbara! We have had trouble with other moving companies before but the process with D United was smooth and delivery was on time. The movers were really polite and got the job done ahead of time! Nothing damaged, the other reviews seem to be fake because my experience was the complete opposite.

We've used D United five times; they are always reliable, efficient and professional. Our crew, Logan, Lloyd and Tavon called ahead so we wouldn't worry, arrived early and got the job done in record time. They treat your possessions like heirlooms, wrapping and protecting everything carefully. And, they work quickly - which is nice as you are paying by the hour. Logan's crew had us loaded in less than 2 hours even though they had to deal with elevators and narrow hallways. Unloading went smoothly and everything was set up completely. All the trash and materials were removed and the whole job cost much less than the estimated maximum. Northstar's people are always friendly and communicate well. This company will cost a little more, but this is well worth it in the ease, professionalism and quality of services.

D united Logistics were awesome. They come highly recommended! They showed up on time, took great care of our belongings and charged a fair rate. They helped complete a very complex move. They picked up items from 3 different locations and moved it all to one central location then unloaded. They even helped assemble furniture at no extra cost. Would use them again no questions asked and thanks barbara for the excellent work!

If you're visiting this website, then that's more than likely due to a quite unpleasant experience you had with Barbara Kay and D United Logistics Movers. If only I had been able to find more information about this company before I scheduled my move through a broker (keeping their name out of this as they were trying to be as helpful as possible during this chaos) as well. Let me breakdown the events that transpired with Barbara Kay and D United Logistics Movers: High-level: Items were NOT picked up OR delivered at the times promised/scheduled. Missing several personal boxes that just "went missing". No proper inventory of our belongings was taken during pick-up or drop-off. Over $10,000 dollars worth of personal and business belongings were stolen from PACKAGED containers and boxes. Items NOT delivered in the condition they were picked up. Police Report Filed: #2020-00873 NCCDB/FMCSA Complaint Filed: #100146545 BBB Complaint Filed: #771374 Full summary of detailed events, please read: https://dunitedlogisticsmoversscam.wordpress.com/

  • A moving company, removalist, or van line are all companies that help people as well as other businesses to move their goods from one place to another. With many inclusive services for relocation like packing, loading, moving, unloading, unpacking and arranging of items can all be taken care of for you. Some services may include cleaning the place and have warehousing facilities.
  • According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 40 million United States citizens have moved annually over the last decade. Of those people who have moved in the United States, 84.5% of them have moved within their own state, 12.5% have moved to another state, and 2.3% have moved to another country.
  • In the United States and Canada, the cost for long-distance moves is generally determined by a few factors. The first is the weight of the items to be moved and the distance it will go. Cost is also based on how quickly the items are to be moved, as well as the time of the year or month which the move occurs. In the United Kingdom and Australia, it's quite different. They base price on the volume of the items as opposed to their weight. Keep in mind some movers may offer flat rate pricing.
  • Many people are familiar with this type of moving, using truck rental services, or borrowing similar hardware, is known as DIY moving. Whoever is renting a truck or trailer large enough to carry their household goods may obtain moving equipment if necessary. Equipment may be items such as dollies, furniture pads, and cargo belts to protect furniture and to ease the moving process.
  • As most people have experienced, moving does involve having the appropriate materials. Some materials you might find at home or may be more resourceful to save money while others may choose to pay for everything. Either way materials such as boxes, paper, tape, and bubble wrap with which to pack box-able and/or protect fragile household goods. It is also used to consolidate the carrying and stacking on moving day. Self-service moving companies offer another viable option. It involves the person moving buying a space on one or more trailers or shipping containers. These containers are then professionally driven to the new location.
  • There many reasons for moving, each one with a unique and specific reason as to why. Relocation services, employee relocation, or workforce mobility can create a range of processes. This process of transferring employees, their families, and/or entire departments of a business to a new location can be difficult. Like some types of employee benefits, these matters are dealt with by human resources specialists within a corporation.
