Cross Country Movers
Moving with Cross Country Movers
Unfortunately, I had an extremely different experience than the seemingly other fake reviews. Broken furniture, horrific communication, overcharged and didn't show up when I finally connected with the driver. One short example but I could provide many... I had a spot reserved for the truck on the day the drive said they would arrive, they didn't show, came the next day and charged me an additional $175 for long carry (the truck ended up right in front of my place). I paid the fee even though it should have been $75 at worst, the driver was going to just hold my stuff hostage. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
You have been fantastic and I am very happy in my new apartment. I needed to move and it needed to be cheap. I spoke to one of the representatives at Cross Country Movers and he was very nice to assist me. I told him I had a budget and never wanted to exceed it. On hearing the volume of my move he assured me that the move would not only fall in my budget but also might be cheaper. The packers were quick and muscular; they managed to finish all the work without chatting or wasting time within 4 hours on this side. The company kept its word and gave me a discount because it did not take long as expected. The move was damage free and the services were simply the best!
I am SO impressed with Cross Country Movers. I have used them before and they have never disappointed. Although the price was higher than I wanted to spend at this time, it was COMPLETELY worth it. They showed up in a timely manner, it was freezing and they never complained once or slowed down! They put everything where I needed and wanted it and were MORE than friendly. So professional, GREAT attitudes, hard workers. Can't thank you guys enough, give these boys a raise!

The guys were so professional. I have used another moving company before that does not even come close to Cross Country Movers! By the time our move was over these two young men felt like family. They were knowledgeable, hard workers & very kind and helpful. My wife and I are an older couple and these guys treated us with the respect they would their grandparents. If we are ever in need of a moving company again, we would not even think of using any other company, Thanks for great service!!
Cross Country Movers was excellent throughout the entire process. The movers came on time and managed to pack all my belongings quickly and carefully. They were extremely helpful and respectful. They were also very neat and tidy. For me, moving is so stressful, but my time with these guys was really nice. My furniture was in perfect condition when it arrived at my new house. They know what they are doing and they will not charge you a lot for their job. The quote is more than reasonable. These people rock! I would hire them again without thinking twice!

I hired Cross Country Movers to move my home and they were excellent. I highly recommend them. The team that came up were professional, the estimate was reasonable and the service was excellent. There team were very careful with my things and used lots of packing materials. I was especially grateful about how they packed all my pictures and wall art. Thanks you so much.
Some of my stuff such as furniture required to be disassembled prior to packaging and transporting them. The guys from Cross Country Movers had all the right tools to get the job done and proceeded to pack my things in boxes for safe travel. In the end, all my things were delivered in top condition and timely so. They reassembled everything and even helped me in putting my house to order. I love these guys.
I have nothing but good things to say about Cross Country Movers. When they managed to transport all my things halfway across the country without causing any damage to them and charged me reasonably while doing so, I really shouldn't have a bad thing to say. The movers are the best part about this company. They were so strong, experienced and polite at the same time. The customer support is also quite nice. I will definitely hire them again.
If I could, I would give this company more than 5 stars. They were very friendly and helped me in every aspect before and after my move. I found this company online and booked them because of their good reviews. They lived up to my standards. I will be happy to refer Cross Country Movers to my friends and neighbors. Thank you for your services.
Beginning the the early 20th century, the 1920's saw several major advancements. There was improvement in rural roads which was significant for the time. The diesel engine, which are 25-40% more efficient than gas engines were also a major breakthrough. We also saw the standardization of truck and trailer sizes along with fifth wheel coupling systems. Additionally power assisted brakes and steering developed. By 1933, all states had some form of varying truck weight regulation.
Unfortunately for the trucking industry, their image began to crumble during the latter part of the 20th century. As a result, their reputation suffered. More recently truckers have been portrayed as chauvinists or even worse, serial killers. The portrayals of semi-trailer trucks have focused on stories of the trucks becoming self-aware. Generally, this is with some extraterrestrial help.
Driver's licensing has coincided throughout the European Union in order to for the complex rules to all member states. Driving a vehicle weighing more than 7.5 tons (16,535 lb) for commercial purposes requires a certain license. This specialist licence type varies depending on the use of the vehicle and number of seat. Licences first acquired after 1997, the weight was reduced to 3,500 kilograms (7,716 lb), not including trailers.
Heavy trucks. A cement mixer is an example of Class 8 heavy trucks. Heavy trucks are the largest on-road trucks, Class 8. These include vocational applications such as heavy dump trucks, concrete pump trucks, and refuse hauling, as well as ubiquitous long-haul 6×4 and 4x2 tractor units. Road damage and wear increase very rapidly with the axle weight. The axle weight is the truck weight divided by the number of axles, but the actual axle weight depends on the position of the load over the axles. The number of steering axles and the suspension type also influence the amount of the road wear. In many countries with good roads, a six-axle truck may have a maximum weight over 50 tons (49 long tons; 55 short tons).
