Five stars for a last-minute call for help and fine work. Kevin's help was much-needed after our original crew backed out with short notice. Upon recommendation from a friend, I called KEVCOR and - on a busy weekend - he obliged by providing an able-bodied and good-natured man for our ride to another state to collect estate items. (We'd rented a truck). Our family, along with our knowledgeable KEVCOR crew member, Paul, had the job finished and were back in BHAM at the storage unit within hours. Then, entirely unsolicited, owner Kevin Soles and two other of his brigade, appeared to help us unload. All communication was prompt and clear, with promises kept. His attitude was one of "we can and will accommodate." We can't recommend this company and its professional behavior enough. Thanks, KEVCOR!

Will never use this company again. Guys showed up in attire that wasn't company issued, played around the whole 5hrs there and they kept taking breaks. The older black guy who drives has a very vulgar mouth and made numerous sexual advances towards me that me feel very uncomfortable. And comes to find the owner us an EX-CON so I understand why his business is failing. Never again!

They made an EXCELLENT showing and were extremely respectful and effective. Because of the way of my turn, I got a hourly rate cited. I was somewhat stressed the move would take longer than it ought to. Couldn't possibly be more off-base.

As most people have experienced, moving does involve having the appropriate materials. Some materials you might find at home or may be more resourceful to save money while others may choose to pay for everything. Either way materials such as boxes, paper, tape, and bubble wrap with which to pack box-able and/or protect fragile household goods. It is also used to consolidate the carrying and stacking on moving day. Self-service moving companies offer another viable option. It involves the person moving buying a space on one or more trailers or shipping containers. These containers are then professionally driven to the new location.
The interstate moving industry in the United States maintains regulation by the FMCSA, which is part of the USDOT. With only a small staff (fewer than 20 people) available to patrol hundreds of moving companies, enforcement is difficult. As a result of such a small staff, there are in many cases, no regulations that qualify moving companies as 'reliable'. Without this guarantee, it is difficult to a consumer to make a choice. Although, moving companies can provide and often display a DOT license.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is an agency within the United States Department of Transportation. The purpose of the FMCSA is to regulate safety within the trucking and moving industry in the United States. The FMCSA enforces safety precautions that reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities involving large trucks and buses.
There many reasons for moving, each one with a unique and specific reason as to why. Relocation services, employee relocation, or workforce mobility can create a range of processes. This process of transferring employees, their families, and/or entire departments of a business to a new location can be difficult. Like some types of employee benefits, these matters are dealt with by human resources specialists within a corporation.
Many people are familiar with this type of moving, using truck rental services, or borrowing similar hardware, is known as DIY moving. Whoever is renting a truck or trailer large enough to carry their household goods may obtain moving equipment if necessary. Equipment may be items such as dollies, furniture pads, and cargo belts to protect furniture and to ease the moving process.
In the United States and Canada, the cost for long-distance moves is generally determined by a few factors. The first is the weight of the items to be moved and the distance it will go. Cost is also based on how quickly the items are to be moved, as well as the time of the year or month which the move occurs. In the United Kingdom and Australia, it's quite different. They base price on the volume of the items as opposed to their weight. Keep in mind some movers may offer flat rate pricing.
