I've never seen movers work as nice and smoothly as these guys. My move had a lot of work and the guys scratched my wardrobe, the insurance paid with no problem. I will definitely use this company again.

WE had always used the ideal move in the past - I would advise against it. Do not use them f you have or are moving with hardwood floors. WE had our floors redone prior to moving to our new house, and while there were only a few large scratches to be redone there were many small scratches across the floors. What I saw was the movers sliding the heavy furniture across the floor countless times.Unfortunately , the vp, Todd chose to blame our dogs and our children with SPECIAL NEEDS for the scratches. On the plus side- the guy who came to give us an estimate was nice and the movers were nice too. The bottom line- After fighting this and receiving many rude emails from Todd, it will be taken to small claims court- what a shame and what a waste of everyone's time. when you hire movers - you wouldnt expect this.

Must watch all their people all the time, if not, you will have to get another job to pay for missing items. They tell you 1price and then try to double it when it comes time to pay. When you make claim all they will tell you is that they are only responsible for 30 cents a pound and the insurance will probably not pay for it. They left 20% of the household behind and walked out the door GOOD LUCK.

Our actual move went well but we had some damage to some of our property that I have been trying to get resolved for four months with no luck. And now I can't even get a response from them. Unhappy in Syracuse!

Jim's group of Matt and Mike were magnificent! They came early (which I like) and were three friendly and warm people I opened my door to! Exchanges stories and pictures with Mike about bikes through out the day! They were very easy to work with. I've lived in my riverfront flat for a long time now, and never wanted to move until we found a house in NNY winters(!), so leaving was bittersweet. They were so polite so it made my day less hard to manage! They worked so hard for 7 hours STRAIGHT, they deserve all the praise, pizza and tips! Thanks again guys! You rock! Sorry about all the chaos!:)

Astounding!!! Profoundly, very inspired with every one of them four!! They called ahead to give me an ETA and were on time! They moved none stop throughout the day, super quick!! They had no issue making inquiries about the stuff I had not marked well, and ensured the enormous stuff was precisely where I needed it. They wrapped everything all around, moved it painstakingly, and were watchful on our hardwood floors and stairs. The reservation making procedure was basic, definite valuing was given, and there were no shrouded irregular expenses. Absolutely justified, despite all the trouble! I would prescribe this organization to anybody!

I can't say enough awesome things in regards to Ralph Palmisano and his group of movers. They simply moved me from Cazenovia to Dutchess County - 4 hours away amidst winter. A 5000 sq ft house. I was agonized over such a large number of things and Ralph kept me calm and said that he would get everything going. What's more, he did. Extremely proficient and amiable. A Cazenovia neighbor prescribed him. Keep the word going.

We had a great experience moving to Florida with Delaney Moving and Storage and their Company, United Van Lines. Everyone was always helpful. Art Delaney came out three times to make sure he had as perfect an estimate as possible and the final move was just a couple of hundred pounds off from his estimate. I don't really know how he did it. The office staff, scheduler and move coordinator all were extremely helpful. When they had some used boxes to share, they were very gracious and their prices for boxes and paper we bought were very fair. Best of all was our driver, Daniel, who did a superb job packing our things in the van and delivering them in Florida. If you are lucky enough to have Daniel, you'll have the smoothest of moves. I highly recommend them.

I highly recommend not going with this company. Read up on moving scams before using any mover. We chose them to move from Brooklyn to Atlanta because they had the lowest estimate. It turned out that they had the lowest estimate because they weren't going to honor it - and charged us double. The worst part was how nerve racking they made the experience. They promised delivery in about a week, verbally. When it didn't show up in a week, I called, and they said it would be another day or two. Every time I call they give me the run around and then eventually say it will be a day or two. Repeat this process for another two weeks, not knowing where all of my belongings were or whether I would see them again.

Genuine experts. Our turn included a converge of two homes into one, and they pulled it all off in a matter of hours. The in advance coordination and correspondence was fabulous, and the can-do state of mind of the team that moved us was incredible.

Extremely expert and comprehension. A move can be exceptionally upsetting, particularly when every one of your things are being taken care of and moved. Cody, Ivan, Al and Dave were extraordinary, exceptionally conscious and brought the most extreme consideration with our own effects. We haven't got our things yet, yet I don't question that they will touch base in great condition with everything there. Mr. Cocoa you conveyed an extraordinary team, much obliged!

According to the United States Census Bureau , the city has a total area of 25.6 square miles (66 square kilometres), of which 25.1 square miles (65 square kilometres) is land and 0.6 square miles (1.6 square kilometres) (2.15%) water.
The city stands at the northeast corner of the Finger Lakes region. The city has many neighborhoods which were originally various villages that joined the city over the years. Although the central part of Syracuse is flat, many of its neighborhoods are located on small hills such as University Hill and Tipperary Hill . Land to the north of Syracuse is generally flat while land to the south is hilly.
About 27 percent of Syracuse's land area is covered by 890,000 trees — a higher percentage than in Albany , Rochester or Buffalo . This is despite the Labor Day Storm of 1998, a derecho which destroyed approximately 30,000 trees. The sugar maple accounts for 14.2 percent of Syracuse's trees, followed by the Northern white cedar (9.8 percent) and the European buckthorn (6.8 percent). The most common street tree is the Norway maple (24.3 percent) followed by the honey locust (9.3 percent). The densest tree cover in Syracuse is in the two Valley neighborhoods, with 46.6 percent of their land covered by trees. The lowest tree cover percentage is found downtown , which consists of only 4.6 percent trees.
Syracuse's main water source is Skaneateles Lake , one of the country's cleanest lakes , located 15 miles (24 kilometres) southwest of the city. Water from nearby Onondaga Lake is not drinkable due to industrial dumping that spanned many decades, leaving the lake heavily polluted. Incoming water is left unfiltered , and chlorine is added to prevent bacterial growth. For periods of drought, there is also a backup line which uses water from Lake Ontario .
Onondaga Creek , a waterway that runs through downtown, flows northward through the city. There is a creek walk http://www.syracuse.ny.us/Creekwalk.aspx and plans etc. etc. etc... that will connect the Lakefront and Inner Harbor to Franklin Square , Armory Square , The Valley , and ultimately the Onondaga Nation . The creek is navigable, yet can be quite a challenge as its channelized nature speeds up its flow, particularly in the spring, when it may be dangerous. Drownings of youngsters resulted in fencing of the creek through some residential areas.
